About Us
The early postnatal period can sometimes be challenging for parents and families as they navigate their way through this joyful and exciting time in their lives.
There is a great need for more support and services during the 4th trimester and beyond. We feel that we add value in this space through educating and empowering parents to feel confident and prepared for their journey ahead.
We understand that to have a healthy, happy baby and family, we need healthy, nurtured, and cared for mothers, partners, and support networks.
One of our aims is to shine a light on the importance of the role of mothers and partners, and be a voice to advocate for more positive experiences, especially during the initial parenting journey.
We are so glad that you have chosen to visit our site and trust you will find this information valuable, not only now but long into the future!
Getting to know Susan
As a mother and with her experience in nursing, midwifery and childbirth education, Susan recognised the need for additional support for parents during the early postnatal period.
This support may come in the form of a listening ear, practical self, baby and family support, education, or assistance with finding the right services and resources parents would benefit from as they transition into parenthood.
Susan feels that each mother and her family, deserves’ one to one support to help them nurture not only their baby but also themselves.
Susan wholeheartedly believes that when women and their families are well supported, this builds strong parenting foundations and empowers them to make informed decisions. From this space, parents can more confidently grow into their new role whether it is their first baby or their fifth!
Susan is forever grateful to her friend and colleague Kat Aquilina for her invaluable contribution to Rise into Parenthood.
Thank you Kat xx
